Our Founder
It all began with an idea. Combining her love of poetry with her knowledge of holistic therapy and passion for mental health awareness, Esi Yankey founded Poetry Prescribed in 2017, aiming primarily to enhance people’s mental health and well-being through poetry and creative writing. What started as a small initiative has since blossomed into something much greater than she ever imagined, reaching thousands of individuals and helping them connect with poetry as a powerful tool for personal growth and healing. Esi and her team continue to innovate, finding new ways to connect with diverse audiences and empower more people through the transformative art of poetry.
